VISUAL IMPACT EXPO / PAC PRINT 2013

Event organisers at this years Visual Impact Expo and Pac Print 2013 have this week created a small slice of history. For the first time the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre has permitted signage to be applied to the carpet in the concourse before door entry. Visually captivating graphics were printed on TexWalk for a 3m x 3m "Welcome To" decal applied directly to the concourse carpet. We understand the MCEC will be offering exhibition & events organisers the option to promote their event on the concourse (carpet) for future events using TexWalk.

Giants of the print industry AGFA incorporated TexWalk into their stand design at this years Pac Print 2013. A huge 10m x 1.2m decal printed on TexWalk applied directly to the carpet created a dramatic cobbled stone path effect.

Harry Kontogiannis, Manager Wide Format at AGFA Australasia was impressed with the performance of TexWalk;

"The material prints beautifully using Agfa UV inks - the colours are rich, vibrant and image is very sharp.Durability is excellent, as we have installed this mat it a high traffic area"

Visual Impact Magazine this year decided to give their 6m x 3m stand a lift with a TexWalk graphic applied directly on top of the exhibition carpet.

"The floor graphics were great. They certainly attracted attention from people passing the stand, and often were the catalyst that enabled the establishment of dialogue between ourselves and attendees. My only regret is that the walls of the stand did not have the same impact as the carpet/ floor graphics. People were amazed at the detail you could achieve with the graphics, especially the fine print. It certainly has a lot of potential for advertising and design purposes in both commercial and domestic environments. And given the flexibility and ease of transportation and installation, a far better alternative to traditional graphics printed to floating exhibition floors".

TEXWALK OUTDOORS ON TILES

Although designed for carpet TexWalk is remarkably versatile and suitable for a wide range of surfaces both indoors and outdoors (smooth surfaces only outdoors). Below is a campaign printed on TexWalk and applied to tiles outdoors. Installed in mid sumer 2012 this busy entrance has had 41 degree heat and terrential rain. The photos below are taken at installation, 3, 6 & 8 months. There is no deterioration or wear marks at 8 months. Quite remarkable since it does not have an overlaminate.

See how well TexWalk removes after 8 months.  Zero residue transferred on to the tiles when removed.

ASPHALT ART - AUSTRALIAN ROAD NATIONALS 2012

Asphalt Art featured prominently at this years 2012 Australian Road Nationals in Ballarat, Victoria. The Subaru decal measuring 18m x 3.6m is the largest ever installed on a road in Australia. The location was carefully chosen by organisers to maximise helicopter aerial coverage beamed to one million viewers on National telecast by SBS. Asphalt Art is used extensively in Europe for cycling events, most notably the Tour De France
